Therapist's Training

In terms of my professional career, I am trained and experienced in such evidence-based practices as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and Attachment Narrative Therapy (ANT). I have become a Certified Mindfulness Facilitator from UCLA.  I work with adults and teens of all walks of life using all these therapeutic modalities but my primary focus uses a mindfulness and compassion based approach.  In my work, I focus on the interrelationships between our individual thoughts, behaviors and feelings which are responsible for the development of our presenting problems and the solutions to those problems.  I want clients to have a mindfulness practice and if not, I will help them develop one as a way of managing their symptoms.  I have been very successful in helping my clients get better, sometimes it only takes a few sessions.

In 1999, I got my license to practice therapy and I have treated children, teenagers, adult, couples and families for a variety of problems.  Today, when I look back on my 20+ years of psychotherapy and mindfulness practice, I realize that I have combined all these approaches to help people get relief from their anxiety and depression.  I know I can help you too.  - Mark
